Respite Care

Camp Paivika provides overnight camping (in cabins) to children and adults who have physical and/or developmental disabilities. Services include residential camps and respite care for informal caregivers. There are no geographic restrictions. 

Traditional camping activities in a safe and nurturing environment encourage independence and promote social interaction. There are multiple sessions offered by age group during the summer. Activities are modified to each camper's abilities and may include aquatics, arts and crafts, drama, horseback riding, nature and sports. A registered nurse is on duty at all times. 

Camp staff are recruited from all over the United States and around the world. The camp is located in Crestline, CA, just outside Los Angeles and can accommodate 60 campers per session. Camp Paivika is a year-round facility. In addition to its summer sessions, Camp Paivika offers winter weekend getaways to camper groups who attend our summer program.
