Pregnancy Testing

The agency provides family planning services for females age 12 years and older who live in Los Angeles County. Services include abortions, birth control counseling, contraception, pro-choice pregnancy counseling, pregnancy testing and sterilization. All clinic services are available to minors without parental consent, but 12 to 13 year olds who request pregnancy termination services are advised beforehand that a report will be made to Children's Services for a possible investigation of child abuse. There are no geographic restrictions. 

The clinic offers rapid pregnancy tests, pro-choice pregnancy counseling, and referrals for prenatal care and adoption services when appropriate.  

Birth control counseling can provide women with an overview of various methods of birth control, including sterilization for women; the side effects of some methods and their symptoms; and any relevant nutritional information. 

  Surgical abortions are available for women in their first and second trimesters, up to 21 weeks of pregnancy. The clinic also provides early medical abortion (non-surgical abortion by tablet) for women under nine weeks of pregnancy who want to terminate their pregnancy in their own homes.
