PASADENA, CA – 211 LA, the Los Angeles County nonprofit that connects residents to health, housing, and social services and supports communities during disasters, will celebrate the opening of its new Pasadena headquarters with an Open Opening Reception and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The event is being hosted in partnership with the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.

The new office, located on Colorado Blvd., places 211 LA in the heart of a community that has lived through one of the most destructive wildfires in the region's history.

Since the Eaton Fire, 211 LA has helped Altadena and Pasadena families navigate recovery, from emergency housing and benefits to long-term case support. The move strengthens that presence and positions 211 LA as a regional leader in emergency preparedness and response, serving the San Gabriel Valley and all of Los Angeles County.

The celebration will bring together elected officials, community and corporate partners, members of the Crisis Care Plan Alliance, board members, and supporters. Guests will take part in the ribbon-cutting, tour the new space, and hear how 211 LA connects people to help every day and during every emergency.

"Pasadena is more than our new address. It is a community we have stood beside through the Eaton Fire and its recovery, and opening our doors here is a commitment to stay," said Maribel Marin, Executive Director of 211 LA. “Whether a family is facing an eviction notice or an evacuation order, 2-1-1 is the number they can call. Our new home in Pasadena gives us a strong base to serve communities across Los Angeles County and build the partnerships that make this work possible.”

“The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome 211 LA to our business community,” said Leanne Waggoner, Vice President of Events & Operations for the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce. “Organizations like 211 LA play a vital role in connecting individuals and families with the resources and support they need, strengthening our community and enhancing quality of life for residents throughout the region. We are excited to celebrate this milestone with their team and look forward to the positive impact they will continue to make in Pasadena and across Los Angeles County.”

During the program, 211 LA will share its emergency preparedness and disaster response planning going into the El Niño storm season, share after-action data from its role during the Pacific Palisades and Eaton fires, share its work during the Boyle Heights disaster, and highlight how its 24/7 information and referral network supports countywide residents, local governments, and partner agencies.
