Senior Ride Programs
Provider: CITY OF PASADENA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - PASADENA DIAL-A-RIDE
The agency provides curb-to-curb transportation services for seniors age 60 and older and individuals who have physical, mental, emotional or developmental disabilities who are residents of Pasadena, San Marino, Altadena and surrounding unincorporated Los Angeles County areas including East Pasadena, and East San Gabriel. The service is for those individuals who are unable to use the regular public transportation. People may use the service for any purpose within the Pasadena and San Marino city limits and the surrounding unincorporated service area.
Residents of the service areas must apply and, when approved have or obtain one of the following: Senior Reduced Fare TAP card, LACTOA Disabled Reduced Fare TAP card or an Access Services card to access program services. Appointments must be made in advance for service. People who use the service may be accompanied by an escort or friend who is age 10 and older. Minimal assistance in and out of the vehicles is provided by the drivers; clients who need special assistance on a regular basis may indicate this at time of application and may receive approval for attendants to accompany them free of charge. Disabled children must have an attendant whenever they use the service. This is a shared-ride service so extra time should be allowed to reach the desired destination.
