Public Awareness/Education
Provider: SAN GABRIEL VALLEY DENTAL SOCIETY
The society provides dental services to people who live in San Gabriel Valley. Services include dental care referrals and public awareness/education. There are no geographic restrictions.
Referrals are made to local member dentists; the agency does not maintain a list of dentists who accept Medi-Cal.
Public awareness/education is provided through literatures, a speaker's bureau and health fairs. The society sets and promotes standards of practice and ethics for dentists which exceed those required by law, and stresses the need for continuing professional education for members.
Dentists who wish to become members must have completed dental education, have a state license, agree to abide by the standards of the association, pay a fee and live or practice in the San Gabriel Valley.
