Veteran Membership Organizations (LGBTQ2+ Individuals)

The agency provides services for veterans, active military and military reserve personnel of all ages who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, and their families. Services include veteran membership organizations, electronic community networks, printed materials and social clubs/events. There are no geographic restrictions.
Membership levels vary for veterans, their families, advocates and supportive civilian community members. Services and activities offered differ between levels and may include advocacy services; meetings, parties and other social events; access to local, regional and national electronic discussion boards; a monthly newsletter; discounts at local establishments; and opportunities to vote on official agency business and serve on agency committees.
Individuals who support the mission and purpose of the organization may also join as an auxiliary non-paid member to receive the monthly newsletter, access the online discussion board and have limited access to events at the approval and discretion of the Board of Directors.

Application Procedure
Email or download an application from the organization's website. A copy of military paperwork such as DD-214, VA Letter, or DOD orders showing dates of service is required for full membership.
Fees
Membership fees are generally $35 per year or $500 for lifetime. There are no fees for full members who are age 80 and older or individuals on active duty. There are no fees for civilian community members joining at the auxiliary level.
