The district office provides flood control and safety for Southern California. It is responsible for the conservation, control, development and utilization of the state's water resources. Services include flood control, flood safety and water pollution control. Flood control is provided for counties and cities in Southern California. The District also provides information on groundwater, surface water, and water quality data. Flood safety education and publications are available for the general public. There are no geographic restrictions. LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH Cantonese, Mandarin; appointments can be made with Spanish-speaking staff with 24-hours advance notice.
