The purpose of the organization is to raise funds for UNICEF-assisted projects in the developing world. The agency provides information about the critical needs of children and encourages support of and participation in programs to improve their lives.

UNICEF fights for the rights of every child, every day across the globe. For 70 years, across 190 countries and territories, UNICEF defends the rights of every child.

This area office provides films, speakers, and materials for groups and organizations for educational programs which deal with the developing world and with concerns about health, nutrition, education, and medical services in developing countries. The agency also distributes UNICEF greeting cards catalogs and offers information regarding its "Trick or Treat for UNICEF" program that allows children to gather money for donations on Halloween.
