Community Gardening
Provider: UC COOPERATIVE EXTENSION - LOS ANGELES
The agency provides community services for people who live in Los Angeles County. Services include agricultural support services and community gardening. There are no geographic restrictions.
The agricultural support service is available for wholesale nursery growers, landscape industry and agencies involved in the management and use of ornamental plants and turfgrass. Research information is provided at meetings, seminars and conferences on production, marketing and pest control.
The Master Gardener program assists community groups to start gardens in neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County. The program offers educational programs which include classes and training in gardening, vegetable preparation and safety and a help line for gardening questions.
