Prejob Guidance

The program provides employment services for at risk young men and women, age 14 to 21. Services include prejob guidance to develop basic job skills, and job search/placement services for at risk youth. There are no geographic restrictions.
Prejob guidance services include how to conduct a job search; use of a computer and basic office software; how to develop and update a resume; effective interviewing techniques; professional behavior, attitude, and relationships; professional dress, grooming, and hygiene; professional communication techniques; conflict resolution on the job; the importance of reliability, promptness, and honesty; developing teamwork and responsibility; and how to develop long-range career goals.
The program also provides job search and placement services to High Risk/High Needs Youth who have just been released from detention facilities. The agency also provides job skills development for community youth.
