The agency provides child care services for children ages birth to 13 years who live in Los Angeles. Services include child care expense assistance, child care provider referrals, organizational development and management services, parenting skills classes for parents of people with disabilities. Child care may be available; call to confirm first. Age restrictions apply to some services. Services are restricted to residents of zip codes 90004, 90005, 90006, 90010, 90012, 90013, 90014, 90017, 90019, 90020, 90021, 90026, 90027, 90028, 90029, 90036, 90038, 90039, 90041, 90042, 90046, 90048, 90057, 90065, 90068, 90069, 90071, 90210, 90211 and 90212.

Child care expense assistance is available through CalWORKs Stages 1, 2 and 3; California Alternative Payment Program and Family Child Care Home Education Network; families must meet eligibility requirements for each program. The program allows parental choice in the selection of a child care provider for children age birth to 13 years, to meet the individual needs of the family. Assistance is available for children with disabilities through age 18. Selected child care must take place within the agency's service area.

Child care provider trainings are available on topics including early care and education, and child care business management. Technical assistance and quality improvement coaching services are offered for child care providers, preschools, and groups interested in becoming licensed child care providers. Health and safety certification course fee reimbursement may be available to those who qualify.
Parenting skills classes address topics including ages and stages of development, dealing with challenging behavior, kindergarten transition and other parenting issues. Events and opportunities are available for families to connect with each other.
