Public Awareness/Education (Reproductive Issues)

The organization is a reproductive rights group that provides legislative advocacy and public information and education about the pro-choice position that is committed to preserving the legal alternative of medically-safe abortions for all women, regardless of age or economic status. It is a national group; there are no restrictions. The group organizes pro-choice support statewide to protect the right to choose abortion, provides legislative advocacy, operates a resource and education center which contains current information about the status of abortion rights, publishes a quarterly newsletter which includes legislative updates and other material related to the right to choose. It also educates the public about the abortion issue through a speakers' bureau and encouraging media coverage of the issue. In addition, the organization welcomes volunteers who are interested in becoming involved by working on specific projects in the office, fund raising, doing legislative advocacy, working on the newsletter, and providing education about the issues.
