Medical Equipment/Assistive Technology Donation Programs (Hearing Loss)

Provider: EAR OF THE LION FOUNDATION OF CALIFORNIA AND NEVADA

The agency provides services for people with hearing impairments in California and Nevada. Services include reconditioned hearing aids for people who are low income and medical equipment/assistive technology donation programs. There are no geographic restrictions.

Individuals must meet annual household income requirements, and be a US citizen or legally reside in the US.

The agency also accepts donations of used hearing aids.

Application Procedure

Visit the website for information or to apply; applications may be downloaded and submitted by mail or email.

Applicants for hearing aid assistance are required to have had a hearing evaluation and a medical waiver within the past 6 months. Proof of low-income status that meets the agency's financial eligibility requirement must be provided.

Hearing aid donations may be mailed to the organization; tax donation receipts will be mailed back by request.

Fees
There is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $150 per hearing aid.
