Organizational Development and Management Services (Child Care Issues)

The commission administers funding for large and small organizations serving children, age 0 to 5, families with children age five and under and pregnant women. Services include program funding assistance and technical assistance. The commission is empowered to fund programs through the awarding of grants and formation of strategic partnerships. Funded programs and services are restricted to Los Angeles County.

Application Procedure
Grants and strategic partnerships are awarded through a proposal application process. When released, request for proposals (RFP's) are released on the First 5 LA website. To find out about grant monies available, agencies should check the website at www.first5la.org, or subscribe to the First 5LA weekly e-newsletter Monday Morning Report online.
