Senior Ride Programs
Provider: CITY OF MONTEBELLO - TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT - DIAL-A-TAXI
Disability related transportation services and senior ride programs include Dial-A-Taxi (DAT) services within the City Of Montebello. Individuals must be a Montebello resident age 62 and over and/or a disabled of any age. Individuals complete an Eligibility Form, and provide a photo. Medical trips are allowed outside City boundaries, but within the designated DAT service area. Call first to ensure a destination is within the boundaries.
Service boundaries include the 10 Freeway to the north; the 710 Freeway to the west; the 605 Freeway to the east; and the 5 Freeway to the south.
Only same day appointments are available. Individuals should call at least 30 minutes prior to a requested pick up time. Individuals should provide their name, exact pick-up address, destination location, number of passengers in their party, and ask for the appropriate wait time. Individuals must indicate they are a Montebello Dial-A-Tax passenger.
Individuals must request special acommondations at the time they schedule an appointment (wheelchair accessible van). It may take up to an hour for a wheelchair accessible vehicle to arrive for pick-up.

There are fixed fees for service. There is a $5.00 fee to replace lost or stolen ID cards. Dial-A-Taxi provides 26 rides per month with a payment of $1.00 per one way that is paid directly to the driver.
Registered riders pay one dollar each way. Guests and Required Attendants ride for free.
