Child Guidance
Provider: MARYVALE EARLY EDUCATION CENTER - DUARTE
The agency provides mental health services for children and families in the San Gabriel valley area. Services include child guidance, family counseling, life skills education for adolescents and adults and wraparound facilitatio/community support. Families must have full-scope Medi-Cal to receive services. Services are restricted to families living in SPA 3.
Children are seen on an individual basis with the involvement of their parents to develop a family-centered treatment plan. Therapy focuses on increasing social service supports, teaching problem-solving, reducing the effects of trauma, and helping to strengthen coping skills. Wraparund services are provided for children involved with DCFS or the probation department.
