Homebuyer/Home Purchase Counseling

The agency provides counseling and education services to low to moderate income home buyers and homeowners. Services include credit counseling, home buyer/home purchase counseling, HUD approved counseling agencies and personal financial counseling. There are no geographic restrictions.

As a HUD-approved housing counseling agency, the organization provides housing counseling. All HomeStrong USA counselors are USA Cares Certified Military Housing Specialists.

Individuals participate in home buyer education workshops, financial literacy workshops, or individualized counseling. Home buyer education and counseling opportunities include: financial fitness and money management; understanding credit reports; first-time home buyer education; qualifying for a mortgage; home appraisals, homeowners insurance; and making an offer. These classes are HUD, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac approved.

Online courses are available to provide education regarding home ownership, mortgage lending, financial management, and budgeting. These classes are not HUD approved.
