Provider: NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS WORLD SERVICES

The agency provides drug use disorder services for people in Eastern Los Angeles County. Services include drug use disorder education, technical assistance, and twelve-step groups. There are no geographic restrictions.

The agency provides drug use disorder education through community education presentations and publications which offer information about Narcotics Anonymous. The helpline provides information and referral to NA meetings. A Spanish language hotline is also available.

Twelve-step NA groups meet throughout Los Angeles County. Some groups are targeted to the special needs of women, young people, gays, lesbians, and people who have hearing impairments.

The agency provides technical assistance for people who wish to establish new NA meetings in the community and in institutional settings. The organization publishes a series of handbooks which help NA members to establish new NA meetings, operate helplines, create effective public information campaigns and maintain sound fiscal policies.

It also provides training and promotional materials to NA chapters and refers callers to groups/NA Meetings through the world.
