Better Business Bureaus

The agency provides consumer assistance for people of all ages and businesses in Los Angeles County and throughout the United States. Services include consumer education, consumer complaint investigation, and consumer protection. Information is provided about the reliability and practices of businesses. There are no geographic restrictions.

The agency investigates complaints, provides mediation services member businesses, and provides information related to the rights of consumers. Information about consumer rights and education about what steps to take to remedy problems is also provided.

Businesses in the service area may register with the bureau by completing a questionnaire about their services and organization. This information is verified by the agency and then made available to the public. After a business has proven its reliability, it may qualify for membership and access benefits including obtaining reviews, arbitration, displaying the BCA seal, photos, and services, newsletters, and credit union membership.
