Health/Disability Related Support Groups

The center provides services for people with disabilities and their families who live or work in the city of West Hollywood. Services include bereavement counseling, case/care management, certificates/forms assistance, conjoint couseling, family counseling, health/disability related support groups, individual counseling, in person crisis intervention, legal counseling, medicare information/counseling, specialized information and referral and tax information.

The center provides information about and referral to resources that are designed for and of interest to people with disabilities; counseling as well as support groups specifically for people with disabilities; crisis intervention, and assistance if needed in situations such as eviction, bereavement, or abuse; case management for people with disabilities; assistance with forms for benefits like public assistance, renter's credit, or utility assistance and medicare advocacy.

Case management staff can assess the needs of people with disabilities, work with them and their families to develop plans and to obtain services, coordinate and monitor the provision of needed services, and make home visits.

The center provides legal counseling services weekly through visiting staff of Bet Tzedek.

The area served is ethnically diverse and includes many Russian as well as non-Russian people; the center provides the full range of services for both populations.
