Senior Housing Information and Referral

The program provides senior housing information and referral to out-of-home care facilities for adults age 60 and older who live in California. Services include referrals for assisted living facilities, board and care homes and skilled nursing facilities. There are no geographic restrictions.

The agency does NOT provide information on apartments or low income housing, HUD or Section 8 housing. Seniors or family members call for referrals to assisted living facilities, board and care homes, retirement communities, skilled nursing facilities and facilities that accept people with Alzheimer's, Dementia and Parkinson's Disease.

Staff are trained to assess the callers needs and to refer them to the most appropriate and cost effective care. Callers investigate facilities and may call back for additional referrals. All facilities are inspected and evaluated before being added to their referral list.
