Domestic Violence Shelters

Provider: INTERFACE CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES OF VENTURA COUNTY

The Interface Safe Haven Emergency Shelter provides shelter for battered women and their children. Services include a 24-hour domestic violence response phone line, which is also an access point to the shelter. Services are primarily available for residents of Ventura County, but there are no geographic restrictions.

Services provided for residents include crisis counseling, advocacy for government benefits, TRO assistance, self-esteem classes, parenting classes, and support groups. Clothing, food, toiletries, toys, and other necessities are made available for new arrivals and are provided throughout the client's stay.

Children of any age are admitted; however, male teens are considered on a case-by-case basis. Length of stay may be up to 30 days.
