Child Abuse Reporting/Emergency Response
Provider: ORANGE COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCY - CHILD ABUSE REGISTRY
The program provides child protective services to people who live in Orange County. Services include a 24-hour hotline/emergency response line, case management and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.
The program accepts reports of suspected child abuse or neglect. The intake workers assess the information and decide whether or not it is an emergency. If it is an emergency, a worker will be out on the same day, if it is not an emergency a worker will be out within ten days. If the case is determined to be substantial, the organization begins case management with the child and the family.
