WIOA Programs (Adolescents)

Provider: CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF LOS ANGELES - ARCHDIOCESAN YOUTH EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

The program provides year-round WIOA job training for youth, age 14 through 24. Services include alternative education, job search/placement, prejob guidance, WIOA programs, and work experience. The agency participates in both L A City and L A County WIOA Youth Employment Programs. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Workforce Investment and Opportunity Board provides WIOA Programs and administers a network of WorkSource Centers that provide comprehensive employment services for youth job seekers. The program prepares youth for employment by providing post-secondary education and occupational learning. To be eligible family income must meet Federal poverty guidelines. In addition, eligible youth must face one or more barriers to employment such as low Basic Skills in reading, writing or computing at lower than 8th Grade level; school dropout status; homeless, runaway or foster child status; juvinile offender status; or pregnant/parenting youth. Some services have federal pre-requisites. Service availability may be affected by funding. Individuals should call to confirm services.
