Early Head Start

The Early Head Start program provides early childhood education services for infants and toddlers, age 3 months to 3 years living in zip codes 90003, 90008, 90016, 90034, 90036, 90064, 90066, 90301, 90302, 90303, 90304, 90305 and 90230; and home-based services for pregnant women, infants, and toddlers through age 3 living in zip codes: 90301, 90302, 90303 and 90304. Geographic restrictions apply.
The home-based program provides weekly home visitations for parents/guardians and their children and bi-monthly socialization groups. Transportation is available.
Clients may also receive special needs screenings and advocacy; health and mental health services including substance abuse treatment; adult education, literacy and job skills development for parents; and assistance with income support, safe housing or emergency cash.
