Patient/Family Housing

The program provides family support services for families of children who are in Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Kaiser-Sunset and Shriners Hospital for treatment of cancer or other serious illnesses; referrals are accepted from other hospitals, if space permits. There are no geographic restrictions.
The facility has 32 bedrooms and includes bedding, a play yard, a TV/family room and one main cooking facility; families must provide their own food. Housing is provided on a temporary basis and eligibility is determined by the child's medical team in conjunction with agency staff.
The agency also provides health/disability related volunteer opportunities for individuals age 16 and older.

Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day. Intake hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. A part-time secretary takes calls between 5:00pm and 9:00pm; however, the program encourages people to call between 9:00am and 5:00pm. After 9:00pm, callers receive recorded information.
