Administrative Entities (Health Issues)

The program provides health services for low-income pregnant women who are Medi-Cal recipients and live in Los Angeles County. Services include prenatal care, and administrative entities. By law, all pregnant women enrolled in Medi-Cal have access to Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) prenatal care. There are no geographic restrictions.

The local CPSP office provides administrative services only. Medi-Cal eligible pregnant women who seek prenatal care from state-certified CPSP providers have access to enhanced prenatal care through Medi-Cal, including psychosocial, nutrition, and health education services. No patient application or enrollment is needed. A list of current CPSP providers is available on the program website.

The CPSP administrative office provides technical assistance to medical providers who wish to become CPSP providers as well as to those already state-certified CPSP providers. Any prenatal care provider who has a valid Medi-Cal provider number in good standing is eligible to apply.
