Disability Related Transportation
Provider: CITY OF HUNTINGTON PARK TRANSPORTATION - HUNTINGTON PARK DIAL-A-RIDE
The program provides transportation services for seniors, age 65 and older and individuals with disabilities who live in Huntington Park. Services include disability related transportation, general paratransit/community ride programs and senior ride programs. Services are restricted to the boundaries of the city of Huntington Park and to specific medical locations outside the city.
Curb-to-curb demand-response services are provided. Transportation within city limits can be for any purpose. Wheelchair lift-equipped vans are available. The driver assists passengers in and out of the vehicle and with small packages, but if more attention is needed the rider must bring an escort. Age and geographic restrictions apply. Disabled persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Application Procedure
To register for service, residents must go to the City Hall cashier's office at 6550 Miles Ave. Rm., 127 Monday through Thursday during business hours. Proof of residence, proof of age and proof of disability (if applicable) are required. Reservations are only accepted for medical appointments and must be made 24 hours in advance. People who need wheelchair lift-equipped vans must indicate this when requesting service.
Fees
Initial registration is $5 for a photo ID swipe card. Each ride costs $1.00 per one way trip, payable directly to the driver. Up to 30 trips may be purchased per month. Additional fees may apply for trips which originate outside the city limits but not at a satellite location, or trips which originate within the city and end at locations which are not satellite locations.
