Medicare Advantage Plan Enrollment

The organization administers health insurance programs for children and adults who live in Los Angeles County. L.A. Care Health Plan participates in the following health coverage programs, each with its own eligibility and income guidelines: Medi-Cal, Healthy Kids, Medicare Advantage HMO SNP, Covered California (L.A. Care Covered), Cal MediConnect, and PASC-SEIU.

Medi-Cal covers low-income adults and children. Members may choose to receive care from L A Care, Anthem Blue Cross, Care 1st Health Plan, or Kaiser Permanente. Program benefits include dental care, doctor visits, hospital and emergency room care, immunizations, mental health services, prescriptions, substance abuse services, and vision care.

Healthy Kids covers children ages zero to five. The plan includes doctor visits; dental care; immunizations; mental health services; vision care, including glasses; and hospital and emergency room care. The plan also covers prescriptions that can be filled at local pharmacies.

Medi-Care Advantage plans cover individuals who are entitled to Medicare Part A, enrolled in Medicare Part B, do not have End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), and have full Medi-Cal benefits, with no share of cost.
