Mentoring Services Volunteer Opportunities

The agency provides volunteer opportunities to individuals living in Los Angeles County. Services include mentoring and tutoring services volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Mentoring services volunteers mentor youth age 7 through 14 in the agency's afterschool program to help reduce drug and gang activity in the community.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age; they do not receive, nor are they expected to seek out, any special training. Volunteers are not asked to incur any cost, nor are they expected to take any tests. Volunteers who work with youth are required to submit to a criminal background check. Although not required, volunteers are asked to commit to serve at least three hours a month for six months.
