Food Rescue Programs
Provider: VILLAGE FAMILY SERVICES , THE - DROP IN CENTER
The agency is available to participate as a recipient in a food rescue program. Food rescue programs collect unused portions of prepared foods or perishable foods from restaurants, cafeterias, corporate food services, caterers, grocery stores, and special events and deliver food donations directly to agencies (such as crisis shelters, transitional facilities, soup kitchens and homeless shelters) with on-site meal programs. Services are provided to Los Angeles County residents, there are no geographic restrictions.
