Ethnic/Cultural Festivals (Youth, Japanese Community)

The agency provides recreational programs targeted to the Japanese and the Japanese American Community. Services include arts and crafts instruction, congregate meals/nutrition sites, ethnic/cultural festivals. recreational/leisure/arts instruction, tutoring services, and yoga. The program serves people who live in Gardena and surrounding communities; however, there are no geographic restrictions.
Classes and activities include judo, yoga, dance, kendo, water color painting, tutoring, and Japanese language. Saturday sessions in cultural enrichment and Japanese language instruction are available for youth to age 18 as well as adults.
Senior activities and programs include congregate meals, bingo, cards, creative design, exercise, and music.
