Residential Camps

The program provides a variety of recreational and physical fitness activities for people of all ages who primarily live in the Huntington Park, Cudahy, Bell, Bell Gardens and South Gate areas. Services include weight training, gymnastics, aerobics, senior aquatic exercise programs and weight management program for children, age 7 to 13; residential camp is also available. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Y has exercise rooms equipped with computerized treadmills, Stairmasters and Lifecycles. The agency also offers a variety of summer camping opportunities, year-round recreational and instructional swimming for all ages, youth sports program, youth fitness classes.

The weight management program (MEND for Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, DO IT!) is a 10 week parent/child experience for obesity prevention and education. Enrollment occurs several times per year. One parent or a caregiver is required to attend with the child. The age range is 7years old to 13. The program includes one hour of parent/child interaction, one hour where the children engage in physical activities and exercise, while the parents receive nutrition education, cooking and shopping tips for healthy eating and ideas for motivation.
