Adult Residential Treatment Facilities

The agency provides residential mental health services for adults age 18 to 59 who are experiencing an acute psychiatric or severe situational crisis in Los Angeles County. Services include adult residential treatment facilities. To be eligible, clients must have a primary psychiatric diagnosis. The facility cannot accept clients who are actively suicidal or combative or whose primary diagnosis is alcohol or drug abuse. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.

Program services include crisis intervention, strengthening of coping skills, assessment of support systems and the development of a continuing care plan. Residents are under 24-hour supervision and participate in the centers' activities. Services are provided at two facilities that can accommodate a total of 21 clients; the maximum length of stay is 28 days.
