The center provides mediation services for people who live in Los Angeles County. Services are targeted, but not restricted, to Asians/Pacific Islanders, including monolingual immigrants. Services include in person mediation, landlord/tenant dispute resolution, mediation and public awareness/education. There are no geographic restrictions.

The types of disputes the center can assist include domestic, business, employee/employer, landlord/tenant and other housing problems, and small claims. All cases remain confidential. Disputants may have counsel present at the mediation but their role is only to advise their clients and not interrogate disputants or mediators. At the conclusion of the dispute resolution process, disputants may elect to have a written settlement that is enforceable and admissible by law. Mediators are also able to conduct mediations at sites in the community at the request of the parties.
