This acute care facility provides hospital services for people in Los Angeles County. Services include inpatient services, outpatient services, emergency room services, disease-specific treatment, health related support groups and obstetrics. Specialty clinics provide disease specific treatment for cancer, diabetes, heart disease and kidney disease. There are no geographic restrictions.
Cancer services include a comprehensive breast health center that offers mammography and radiology. The Robert and Beverly Family Cancer Care center is a free standing site of a comprehensive cancer care center. The center provides chemotherapy and numerous support groups related to cancer for survivors and their families.
Other specialty services include a cardiac unit with coronary care; an orthopedic unit; a neurology/sleep disorder center; a kidney stone center; radiology; and an outpatient gastrointestinal lab.
Obstetric services include delivery/childbirth; a neonatal intensive care unit; pediatrics and pediatric intensive care. The unit also provides childbirth education and expectant/new parent assistance, including lamaze instruction. The hospital is also a certified provider of Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP), an elective Medi-Cal funded program which provides comprehensive pre-natal care including evaluation, direct medical services; nutrition and health education; psychological counseling and social services if needed.
Health education for the public includes a cardiac physical fitness program, a nutritional program and CPR classes. Also available are a diabetes education series, a physician referral service and a volunteer program.
Support services includes cancer support groups, cardiac rehabilitation and ostomy patient support groups.
