Distance Education

This is a public school academy that provides education services for high school age students who have left school before graduating in Los Angeles county. Services include charter schools and distance education for high school students, including those who are suspended/expelled or have special education issues. There are no geographic restrictions.

The program offers a flexible independent learning and home-study curriculum. Students study one class at a time and move through at their own pace; incomplete classes can be made up. Weekly appointments with a supervising teacher are mandatory; homework packets must be turned in and exams must be passed. Personal tutoring is available every day of the week.

The academy operates year-round; students may begin at any time.. The core curriculum is provided by the supporting school district. The attendance policy is based upon completed work as well as physical attendance.
