Rights Counseling for Undocumented People

The agency provides immigration services through the Office of Immigrant Affairs. Services include immigration services complaints, public awareness/education of immigration issues, rights counseling for undocumented immigrants, and specialized information and referrals for immigration issues, undocumented workers, and LGBTQ individuals. There are no geographic restrictions.
The Office of Immigrant Affairs program offers to connect the public with support services to help educate and advance the well-being of all immigrants. Public awareness and education of immigration issues include "know your rights" workshops and online accessible and printable "know your rights" pocket cards. Information and referral to immigration related legal resources and a directory of non-profit organizations offering low-cost immigration representation and LA Justice Fund service providers is also available.
The office provides information about consumer protection issues such as how to identify, prevent, and resolve instances of immigration fraud. The agency takes reports of immigration service complaints such as dishonest immigration consultants and offers tips on how to search for a reputable immigration consultant.
The agency provides specialized information and referral to red cards, family preparedness tool kit, and immigrant rights counseling.
