Independent Living Skills Instruction (Developmental Disabilities)

The program provides services for adults with developmental disabilities, age 18 and older who live primarily in the Southwest Los Angeles area. Services include independent living skills instruction. Transportation is provided for participants who live within a specified geographic area. Services are restricted to adults age 18 and older; geographic restrictions apply.
Staff assist people with developmental disabilities including mental retardation, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy to develop independent living skills. Special education staff plan individualized programs for participants to develop cognitive, sensory motor, communication, and interpersonal skills. A behavior management program, activities program, adult development program and a creative arts program is also included. Referrals for additional services are provided as needed.

Call to apply for pre-visits; however, a referral from the Regional Centers is required.
