Occasional Emergency Food Assistance

Provider: TUJUNGA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

The program provides emergency food for people in the Tujunga area, including people who are undocumented, who are homeless or who receive government assistance. Services are restricted to residents of La Crescenta, La Canada, Lake View Terrace, Montrose, Sunland and Tujunga; the service area does not include Sun Valley.

The church provides bags of groceries which include bread, peanut butter, canned food, packaged dried goods and staples. Baby food, infant formula and powdered milk are occasionally available. The amount of food varies with family size but is enough to last approximately three days. People are eligible for assistance once every month. Diapers are occasionally available for food recipients. People are provided three diapers at a time and can apply for this assistance every month. br>
