Dental Screening

Provider: CHILDREN'S DENTAL HEALTH CLINIC

The Clinic provides dental services for low-income youth from birth to 21 years of age. Services include dental care, dental screening, oral health education/information and pediatric dentistry. There are no geographic restrictions.

Denti-Cal and other government insurances are accepted, while a sliding scale fee is available for uninsured who meet the Clinic's low-income requirements (at least 250% of the poverty level). Economically disadvantaged children with special needs and complex medical considerations are welcome.

The CDHC provides multi-specialty dental services for low-income children: diagnoses aided by digital imaging or x-ray, dental sealants, fluoride treatment, restoration of teeth (fillings, root canals and crowns), as well as preventive dentistry and oral hygiene education.

The Clinic also provides specialized treatment, including periodontia, endodontia, oral surgery, treatment with oral or Intravenous Sedation (IV Sedation) and general anesthesia in the hospital operating rooms of Miller Children's Hospital. The CDHC also provides its patients Orthodontia (Braces) at a reduced fee.
