Food Production/Preparation/Delivery Volunteer Opportunities
Provider: WHITTIER MEALS ON WHEELS
The program provides home delivered meals for residents of Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs and Whittier of any age who are permanently or temporarily disabled, chronically ill, or who are frail elderly and are homebound and do not have a person who drives in the home. Services are restricted to Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs and Whittier residents.
The agency delivers a cold lunch and hot supper five days per week and is able to accommodate physician's requests for diabetic diets. Meals consist of one hot meal for dinner and one cold meal for lunch.
The agency also provides food production/preparation/delivery volunteer opportunities. Volunteers utilize their own cars without compensation, however, it is not mandatory that the volunteer have a vehicle.
