Adult Basic Education

The agency provides post-secondary education service for individuals in Los Angeles County. Service include adult basic education, community college districts, community colleges, tutoring services, and vocational education. There are no geographic restrictions.
The district administers the community college program for the Long Beach area which is offered by Long Beach City College. The college, which has two campuses, offers two-year occupational, academic and transfer courses. It also offers an adult learning center, a child development center, a senior center, and an English skills center. Specialized services are provided for students who are refugees and students who have disabilities.
