Adult Basic Education

The center provides adult education services for people in Los Angeles County. Services include adult basic education, adult high school diploma programs, citizenship education, computer and related technology classes, english as a second language, graduation requirement programs, and GED preparation instruction. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Accelerated College and Career Transition (AC2T) program is a blended learning program incorporating independent study, individualized instruction and technology for at-risk youth and young adults ages 16 to 24, who have dropped out of high school.

Application Procedure
Call or walk in for information. Enroll in person. Students younger than age 18 who attend high school must be referred by their school counselors. Youth who have dropped out of school may call or walk in for information about the Accelerated College and Career Transition program and the Alternative Education Work Center.
Fees
Class fees vary. There is a $10 student body photo ID fee. Individuals with a disabilities up to age 22; adults, age 62 and older; and high school students are exempt from the registration fee. Class fees vary according to the course. There are no fees for the Accelerated College and Career Transition program and the Alternative Education Work Center.
