Criminal Record Expungement Assistance

he agency provides legal services related to civil matters for low-income residents of Los Angeles County with incomes up to 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. The areas of law the agency can assist with include problems related to housing and landlord/tenant issues, criminal record expungement assistance, divorce and child custody, immigration issues, disaster relief, government benefits, healthcare, domestic violence services, employment benefits and community education and outreach. Certain services apply to residents who live in the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita and parts of the City of Los Angeles. Geographic and income restrictions apply.
The Self Help Legal Access centers are located at various courthouse locations in Antelope Valley, Chatsworth, Pasadena, Pomona and Van Nuys. These centers provide self-representation assistance and forms assistance in the areas of divorce, child custody, child support, guardianship, eviction, name changes, restraining orders and claims for exemptions (garnishments).
This agency does not accept criminal or fee-generating cases such as personal injury suits or worker's compensation. The agency does not assist with criminal law matters.
