Ongoing Emergency Food Assistance

Provider: ST. ELISABETH CATHOLIC CHURCH - SERVICE CENTER DISTRIBUTION SITE

The program provides emergency food for low-income residents of Van Nuys. Services include ongoing emergency food assistance. Service area boundaries are Raymer on the north, Chandler on the south, Woodman on the east, and Haskell on the west. People who receive government assistance are also eligible for services. Services are restricted to Van Nuys residents that live within the service boundaries.

People within the service area may receive assistance once per month; people who are homeless and who are undocumented may receive assistance on a one-time only basis.

The program provides bags of groceries which contain canned food, packaged dried goods, rice, beans and bread. The amount of food varies with family size but is enough to last approximately two days.
