Food Rescue Programs
Provider: INLAND VALLEY HOPE PARTNERS
The agency is available to participate as a recipient in a food rescue program. Food rescue programs collect unused portions of prepared foods or perishable foods from restaurants, cafeterias, corporate food services, caterers, grocery stores, and special events and deliver food donations directly to agencies (such as crisis shelters, transitional facilities, soup kitchens and homeless shelters) with on-site meal programs. The agency provides groceries such as canned goods, cereal, powdered milk, cheese, butter and beans to individuals, including homeless individuals, that can last three to five days. Infant formula and baby food are also provided, depending on donations. Services are restricted to Chino, Claremont, Diamond Bar, La Verne, Montclair, Pomona, San Dimas and Walnut residents.
