Cancer Clinics
Provider: PROVIDENCE SAINT JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER
This facility provides hospital services for people of all ages in Los Angeles County. Services include cancer clinic, diabetes management clinic, emergency room services, home nursing, general medical care, neonatal intensive care, physician referrals, pet therapy, prenatal care, tattoo removal and volunteer opportunities. Age restrictions apply for some services; there are no geographic restrictions.
The hospital is also a certified provider of Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP), an elective Medi-Cal funded program which provides comprehensive pre-natal care to Medi-Cal recipients, including evaluation, direct medical services; nutrition and health education; psychological counseling and social services if needed.
Pet therapy is provided for some rehabilitative programs including cardiac rehabilitation, oncology, and transitional care units. Volunteer pet owners are recruited by the program called "Pets With Purpose." The dog must be older than one year of age, be up to date on all shots, and be of a breed accepted by program rules; the program does not accept Chow, Doberman, Pitbull and Rottweiler breeds. The program operates at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center and Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center.

Home nursing services include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wound care and visits from a medical social worker or dietician. Other services may be available, depending on the needs of the patient.
