The medical center provides health education services for people who live in Los Angeles County. Services include exercise classes/groups, general health education programs, health related support groups breastfeeding, pregnancy/childbirth support groups, wellness programs and weight loss assistance. There are no geographic restrictions.
Health education includes preventive medicine and health-related prevention programs for patients and the general public in the areas of general health education, support groups, weight loss and wellness programs. The Health Resource Center provides health care information and referrals and physician referrals to physicians at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center.
The "Smarter Weigh" weight loss program is a personalized 10-week weight control program that includes weekly education classes; an exercise program; dietary analysis and complete blood laboratory data; one-on-one dietary counseling and fitness evaluation; body fat analysis and metabolic rate determination.

Call or visit the medical center's website for more information. Advanced registration is required for the Smarter Weigh program. Call the Health Resource Center for referrals to physicians and health care services.
Fees
Fees vary. There is a $50 deposit to hold a spot for the Smarter Weigh program. There are fixed fees for use of the fitness center.
