The agency provides volunteer opportunities to individuals living in Los Angeles County. Some opportunities are targeted toward older adults. Services include mentoring services volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Mentoring service volunteer opportunities are available to seniors, age 55 and older, who volunteer for the agency's senior peer counseling program. Senior counselors visit other seniors who are clients of the agency, make home assessments, and coordinate needed services.

The agency provides some special training, however, volunteers need to be proficient on database training, receptionist duties, and word processing. Volunteers must be 18 years of age, have a California Drivers License, and car insurance. Although volunteers are not asked to incur any costs, they must, at their own cost, submit to a health assessment from their own doctor and have a TB test. The agency does not complete background checks, and volunteers are not asked to commit to a set length of service.
